For the price this is an incredibly low cost way to make Slushies, Snow Cones and Frozen Cocktails. It is happy using ice cubes straight from your freezer, it works quickly and it produces shaved ice that has a snow like quality. The automatic mixing paddle blends drinks and the whole thing is very easy to clean, especially as nearly all of it can go in the dishwasher. There are quite a few reported breakages due to the plastic used for the center shaft but overall the Hamilton Beach 68050 is a very capable slushie machine and ice shaver for around $20!

Margarativille are the kings of frozen drink machines and this one is the king of the Margaritavilles. Designed for heavy usage you get three 24 ounce blending jars and an ice reservoir that holds enough for you to make 144 ounces. If you can’t drink that quickly there is a rear reservoir that collects the melting ice to make sure that your drinks don’t end up getting watered down - just make sure you check occasionally to see if it needs emptying.

For a lot of people their frozen drink machine is their essential party accessory. However, as you generally have to plug them in there have always been limitations on where you can take them. So Margaritaviile created a battery powered machine meaning that the beach, boat or open road are no longer out of the question. It has a long lasting large 18 volt battery similar to many power tools that is capable of blending somewhere between 60 - 80 drinks on a single charge.

This low cost option is a great introduction to the world of frozen drink machines. It has a shave and grind system to ensure a good drink consistency without lumps and a dispensing spout. It also has a generous 64 ounce jug and a drip tray. It is not suitable for heavy usage but for the occasional party and smoothie this machine will do just fine.

This is a big machine, but that's because it can hold a whopping gallon of liquid! It uses Nostalgia's grind and shave system, has a front dispensing spout, a transport handle and a useful insulated container to keep your drink colder for longer. It also looks good in stainless steel but unfortunately there are way too many owners complaining about broken parts or complete failure early on.

This is a high quality, durable machine that makes restaurant quality frozen drinks - it's actually commercially UL approved for use in restaurants. It has a 72 ounce ice reservoir and 36 ounce glass blender with dual motors. It has a front access panel, a choice of 4 pre-programmed drinks, 1-3 drink making setting and a manual shave and blend feature. It looks great with a premium brushed-nickel finish and retro styling and has overwhelmingly positive reports from a large number of reviewers.
